Texas Rangers update for Saturday, September 29
Good morning, LSB.
The Rangers won against the Angels last night.
Kennedi Landry writes about Jacob deGrom finishing the season on a high note.
Evan Grant says hell the Rangers are just glad to get deGrom through the rest of the season unscathed.
Elsewhere, Grant explains why Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker were optioned to the Arizona Fall League.
Grant also has a post on the longterm plans for Rocker and Leiter with quotes from Chris Young.
The Athletic has a “biggest disappointments of the season” post which of course the Rangers are mentioned.
And finally Grant writes about the Rangers pursuing their own regional sports network after the season ends. If we can look back on this thing as the year we ditched Bally Sports maybe we could all call it a win.
That’s all for this morning. The Rangers play the penultimate game of their season tonight at 8:40 against the Angels. Andrew Heaney pitches for Texas.
Have a good weekend!
