Brock Porter threw two shutout innings for Hickory, striking out one and hitting a batter. Kai Wynyard struck out four and walked one in 2.1 scoreless innings. Michael Valverde allowed three runs in 0.2 IP, walking three and striking out two.
Maxton Martin was 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles. Yeremi Cabrera drew a pair of walks and stole a base. Rafe Perich was 1 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base. Jesus Lopez had a pair of doubles. Pablo Guerrero had a hit. Chandler Pollard had a walk and a stolen base.
In Game One for Hub City, David Davalillo allowed a run in 3.1 IP, striking out six and walking one. Wilian Bormie struck out two, hit a pair of batters (or, really, the same batter twice) and walked one in 2.2 scoreless. Joey Danielson threw a shutout inning, walking two.
Malcolm Moore had a hit and a walk. Casey Cook had a walk and a stolen base. Keith Jones II had a single, a double and a stolen base.
In Game Two, starter D.J. McCarty allowed five runs in 3.1 IP, striking out five and walking four. Josh Mollerus struck out two and walked one in 1.2 shutout innings.
