Brock Porter threw two shutout innings for Hickory, striking out one and hitting a batter. Kai Wynyard struck out four and walked one in 2.1 scoreless innings. Michael Valverde allowed three runs in 0.2 IP, walking three and striking out two.
Maxton Martin was 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles. Yeremi Cabrera drew a pair of walks and stole a base. Rafe Perich was 1 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base. Jesus Lopez had a pair of doubles. Pablo Guerrero had a hit. Chandler Pollard had a walk and a stolen base.
In Game One for Hub City, David Davalillo allowed a run in 3.1 IP, striking out six and walking one. Wilian Bormie struck out two, hit a pair of batters (or, really, the same batter twice) and walked one in 2.2 scoreless. Joey Danielson threw a shutout inning, walking two.
