Would you vote for Curtis Granderson for the Baseball Hall of Fame?
The Baseball Writers Association of America has released the ballot for the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame voting, so are doing polls on the players on the list.
Today is outfielder Curtis Granderson.
Curtis Granderson was a third round pick of the Detroit Tigers in 2002 out of the University of Illinois. He had a cup of coffee in the bigs in 2004, had a nice, but brief, stint in the majors in 2005, then spent four years as a regular in the Detroit outfield before being traded to the New York Yankees in a three-team deal that sent Max Scherzer to Detroit and Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy to Arizona.
After four years with the Yankees, Granderson signed with the New York Mets and spent most of four years with them, getting traded to the Dodgers at the deadline in 2017. He spent 2018 with the Blue Jays and the Brewers and 2019 with the Marlins, retiring after the 2019 season.
Peak Granderson was a top flight all-around centerfielder — from 2007-11 he slashed .269/.349/.505, averaging 26 doubles, 12 triples, 28 homers and 19 stolen bases per season, putting up 26.3 bWAR. He had three All Star appearances, won a Silver Slugger award, and had a fourth place and tenth place finish in MVP voting.
So, if you were a Hall of Fame voter this year, would you vote for Curtis Granderson?
