Fangraphs has released their top 100 prospect list
Fangraphs has released their top 100 prospect list for 2025, and the Texas Rangers, as expected, have three players who made the cut.
Sebastian Walcott is the top ranked Ranger on the list, coming in at #4 overall, behind Roki Sasaki, Roman Anthony and Dylan Crews. That is, I think it is fair to say, impressive.
Alejandro Rosario is the second highest ranked Ranger, at #39, between Jesus Made of the Brewers and A.J. Smith-Shawver of the Braves. Kumar Rocker is the third Ranger on the list, at #59, between Colson Montgomery of the White Sox and Braxton Ashcraft of the Pirates.
There are no former Rangers prospects on the list, though former Ranger draft pick Brandon Sproat is at #24.
The consensus with the prospect rankings this offseason is pretty clear, as it relates to the Rangers — they have three top 100 guys, with the top guy, Walcott, being in the top 20 or so, and Rocker and Rosario generally in the 30-60 range.
