A rough week on the road
2024 Season Record: 71-79
2024 Series Record: 20-27, 1 split
It was not a great week for the Rangers as far as their record goes. They can only afford to lose two more games if they want to end the season at .500 but they seems less likely to happen with two weeks left. They would have to sweep the upcoming series against the Blue Jays, to be able to afford losing the next Seattle series then sweep Oakland and the Angels.
If they can’t sweep Toronto, they’d have to win both home series and still sweep the away series, or some variation of that (although Oakland and Los Angeles seem like the easier sweeps of the remaining four.)
But while it’s not looking great record wise for the season, they do have a phenomenal starting rotation for the last two weeks!
Not only did they get Max Scherzer back, Jacob DeGrom pitched for the first time in over a year, they also called up Kumar Rocker to make his MLB debut and boy was it a beauty!
Rocker went four innings, gave up just one run on three hits and two walks and struck out seven.

A week after his MLB debut, Rocker will make his home debut Thursday afternoon in the final game of the Toronto series.
