Garcia gets the better of Yates for winning blast!
The Texas Rangers scored four runs while the Los Angeles Dodgers scored three runs.
Through seven innings, the Rangers had two hits today. In the ninth, against former closer Kirby Yates, who was untouchable for Texas last season, they also had two hits. Josh Smith doubled to lead off the ninth with the Rangers down a run and then Adolis Garcia followed with a two-run dong that gave Texas walk-off win.
It seems strange to say a team five games above .500 only 21 games into a season needed a one like that, but after the bats had been neutralized by Los Angeles all weekend thus far, a patented El Bombi moment had to feel pretty good.
