That game result wasn’t even the team’s first victory of the day, as before the contest started the drama over Dak Prescott’s contract concluded when the organization signed their franchise quarterback to a four-year, $240 million deal, with $231 million guaranteed.
We learned that Jerry Jones didn’t want to see what searching for a QB would look like in the foreseeable future, and kept his top signal caller for four more years.
There were of course things to learn about the Cowboys with their performance on the field. The first victory on the 2024 season looked an awful lot like the last few seasons wins as they got out to an early lead and finished things off with a relentless defensive effort.
