The Dallas Cowboys are heading into their final game of the 2024 season, and there will be some similarities with their foe as they look across the sidelines. There are reasons to love and hate those parallels for the Week 18 opponent, the Washington Commanders.
It hasn’t been the Cowboys’ year, but things have certainly gone the Commanders’ way, which began in the offseason with the hiring of Dan Quinn and the drafting of quarterback Jayden Daniels. Those have been the catalysts for the changes in D.C. and led them to a possible 12-win season and a playoff berth. That used to be the Cowboys. Winning 12 games had become the norm with Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott leading the way.
The two teams played to a wild finish in their last meeting, which the Cowboys won. It’ll be hard to top that game, and here are three reasons to love and hate the Commanders ahead of the Week 18 matchup.
