Troy Aikman is getting ready to begin yet another season covering the NFL for FOX.
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned sports broadcaster has been working for FOX for nearly two decades. Aikman and play-by-play man Joe Buck for the lead broadcasting team for FOX on NFL Sundays.
It hasn’t always been easy for Aikman, who recently revealed his “rock bottom” as a broadcaster. That came during Super Bowl XLII.
“I felt no sense of accomplishment, nothing,” Aikman said of that game. “And I said … ‘Man, if this is supposed to be the pinnacle of this profession, then I’m in the wrong profession.’
“And I was just really down, you know … I just know that that was rock bottom for me in this profession.”
Thankfully, things have gone up from there for Aikman. The legendary quarterback can likely attribute some of that to his personal life.
In 2017, Aikman married the love of his life, Capa Mooty.

Mooty, also known as Catherine Cecile Person, is a fashion retailer. She founded a mobile boutique called Luxeliner and has two boys from a previous relationship. Aikman, meanwhile, has two children from his first marriage.
Aikman proposed to Mooty in June of 2017. The couple was married in Santa Barbara later that year in an intimate ceremony.
