A photo of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott sporting a walking boot had fans concerned this Fourth of July.
However, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport suggested it’s no big deal. The star quarterback is apparently dealing a “minor” foot sprain and should be good to go for the 2024 campaign.
“Dak Prescott, spotted here in a protective walking boot, is dealing with a very minor foot sprain and has been for a few days. It’s not considered to be anything that should affect his preparation for 2024,” Rapoport said.
Even with the good news, Cowboys fans know their hopes and dreams all come down to their star quarterback.
“Boys fans better hope this doesn’t linger…they gonna need him to play at MVP level all year or it’s going to be drama!!!” one fan said.
Others just want to know why the Cowboys can’t stay out of the news.
“Why y’all trying to ruin the 4th of July holiday. My team can’t seem to ever stay out of the news even on a holiday in the off szn!!!” a fan joked.
Dallas opens training camp on July 25 so it’s likely Prescott will be back on the field and ready to go by then – or so Cowboys fans hope.
For now, they can all breath a sigh of relief that Prescott’s injury isn’t too serious.
