Micah Parsons is confident that CeeDee Lamb’s minicamp holdout will be worth it in the end.
Speaking on his Cowboys teammate’s contract situation, the three-time Pro Bowler told the media that Lamb is going to get his money because he’s the “best receiver in the league.”
“CeeDee about to hit the brinks truck. He about to get his,” Parsons said. “But I can’t think of someone more deserving. I think CeeDee is the best receiver in the league. If you ever want to argue it, top three. But in my eyes, seeing his mindset and how he comes every day, I think he deserves every penny.”
Lamb missed Dallas’ voluntary OTAs and is expected to be a no-show for this week’s mandatory minicamp as well.
According to Spotrac, the star wideout could stand to lose over $100,000 for his unexcused absence from the team’s activities.
Lamb is projected to receive a four-year, $136 million extension from the Cowboys after Justin Jefferson signed for a historic four years, $140 million with $110 million guaranteed.
CeeDee finished the 2023 season with outstanding numbers, catching a league-leading 135 balls for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
We’ll see how long it takes before the Jones family caves and decides to pay their No. 1 option. But there are still a lot of mouths looking to get fed within Dallas’ organization.
