After sitting out the beginning of Dallas’ OTAs, Cowboys All-Pro Micah Parsons has reportedly revealed when he’ll be back at The Star in Frisco.
Per Jane Slater of the NFL Network, the star linebacker intends on being back with the team in the very near future.
“Just texted with Cowboys DE Micah Parsons,” Slater shared, via her Twitter account. “Parsons was not at OTA’s today in Frisco but tells me he will be back for in house and national media responsibilities next week Tuesday, the 28th and mini camp.”
Parsons and fellow Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb were both absent from Tuesday’s practice as they seek new deals.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Lamb was always expected to skip Dallas’ voluntary work, but the team’s front office had been hoping that Parsons would be there.
Micah’s agent said last month that the three-time Pro Bowler’s not being in attendance for the Cowboys’ voluntary work had nothing to do with his contract. But it’s no secret that Parsons is looking to lock up a long-term deal in Big D.
Since entering the league as a top 15 pick in 2021, Micah has firmly established himself as one of the best in the business.
We’ll see how big he’s able to cash-in after setting a new career mark for sacks last season with 14.
