The Dallas Cowboys have a number of players who are in line for a big time contract extension soon. Pro Bowl wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is one of them, and one insider believes the extension is on its way.
In a recent feature breaking down which players are most likely to sign an extension next, Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com said that Lamb seems the most likely. Eatman speculated that Lamb will get his new deal even before the team begins training camp.
“My answer is CeeDee Lamb,” Eatman said. “I would imagine it’s no different than anyone else. But we had the same question last year and I actually answered Terence Steele. The right answer would’ve been (Trevon) Diggs, but Steele and (Malik) Hooker weren’t far behind. My point is that could be anyone willing to do a deal. I’m ready for the curveball at any time, but I still think it’s going to be CeeDee and I think it’s done before we leave for camp.”
Lamb has been consistently getting better year after year since the Cowboys drafted him No. 17 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. His receptions, yards and touchdowns have all increased each season that he’s been in the league.
This past year was his best yet as he led the league with 135 receptions while giving the Cowboys 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors.
Will Lamb get a long-term extension with the team sometime this summer? Will it get done before training camp?
