Lamb is coming off the best season of his career in 2023, finishing with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. It was his third straight 1,000-yard season.
He’s entering his fifth NFL season and is in the last year of his current contract.
These contract negotiations have Cowboys fans feeling a bit uneasy as training camp is about to start.
“How they haven’t had legit talks with their WR after the framework for the deal has been done 1-2 times this offseason is front office malpractice,” one tweet read.
“I’m Team Bubblewrap when it comes to training camp and especially preseason. But, on an offense this thin, how many reps can your best target miss before it’s a problem for the beginning of the season?” another tweet read.
“Stephen Jones is so bad at his job! How have you not even had talks with your WR. How come every other team can get deals done before camp but we can’t even have discussions with our WR? Throw this whole front office away,” another fan tweeted.
“I’m strictly looking forward to college football this year. This team has absolutely destroyed my sense of excitement or optimism going into the season,” another fan tweeted.
Let’s see if both sides start some contract talks as the season gets closer.
