Trevon Diggs WILL play for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Here are the full inactives for both teams.
The Cowboys are less than two hours away from facing off against the Falcons in Atlanta, and still living in all the drama of a certain player who did not make the trip. Outside of Ezekiel Elliott, though, we now know who else will be inactive for today’s game:
Most notable is the name that’s not on here: Trevon Diggs. The All Pro cornerback missed practice all week with a calf injury, but was listed as questionable heading into today. Diggs tested the calf out in the pre game warmups and has decided to give it a go.
Of course, the biggest inactive here is Ezekiel Elliott. News broke yesterday that Elliott would be inactive for disciplinary reasons and, in turn, had not traveled with the team to Atlanta. Reports earlier this morning clarified that the discipline stems from several missed meetings on Elliott’s behalf and that it is expected to be a one week deal.
Joining Elliott on the list are Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland, both of whom remain injured. There had been some hope that both would be able to return for this game, but neither player was able to practice this week. The same goes for Jordan Phillips, though he officially remains on the injured reserve still, whereas Bland was just activated from the reserve list. Also inactive are Andrew Booth Jr., KJ Henry, Matt Waletzko, and Trey Lance, the latter of whom is the Cowboys’ designated emergency quarterback.
As for the Falcons, they come into this one largely healthy. Troy Andersen has been a key contributor for the defense, though not a full-time starter, and he makes up their only key loss to the inactives list today.
