It didn’t take long for football fans to turn their attention to Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb after Justin Jefferson’s record-setting contract extension.
On Monday, Minnesota signed its three-time Pro Bowler to a massive four-year, $140 million deal — making him the highest-paid non-QB in the NFL.
That quickly had folks on social media speculating about Lamb’s future contract figures amid his holdout:
“CeeDee Lamb, who has been in discussions with the Cowboys about a new deal, is having himself a day,” Adam Schefter tweeted.
“This is what a $160.M WR looks like…” a Dallas fan said. “CeeDee Lamb is the most versatile WR, the most dominant WR, and the most reliable WR in the NFL. Now that bar has been set, it is time to pay him.”
“The Cowboys have a new number to beat for CeeDee Lamb. As always… waiting comes with a price,” commented RJ Ochoa.
“Cowboys somehow put themselves in a financial bind with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons,” a user laughed. “Never change Jerry Jones.”
“Congratulations to CeeDee Lamb,” Blogging The Boys reacted to the breaking news.

Lamb is one of the few receivers that can boast numbers similar to Jefferson’s over his first four seasons (although Justin has played six less games).
We’ll see if Jerry and Co. decide to pony up before the numbers potentially get even more out of control.
