One of the most beloved sports figures in the history of Texas may have taken one of the biggest hits of his life recently and it wasn’t even on a football field.
TMZ Sports video shared by Michael J. Babcock shows Texas Longhorns football legend Vince Young getting into a bar fight in Texas last month, with lot of pushing and shoving before punches were thrown. At one point, one of the men that Young pushes away sucker-punches him in the face when he isn’t looking and knocks him to the ground.
“Vince Young was punched in the face and dropped, and appeared to be momentarily out during a February 4 bar fight in Texas. Started w/ pushing & shoving, then a drink was thrown, and Vince was eventually hit w/ a clean shot (albeit a sucker punch) while he wasn’t looking,” Babcock wrote.
The video ends after Young was punched and the man who hit him appears to leave the bar of his own volition.

It’s unclear from the video when authorities arrived at the scene, or if Young required medical attention at the time. However, TMZ reports that nobody pressed charges and nobody was arrested.
“The Houston Police Department tells us officers were called out to the scene by the bar’s owner, who claimed he was the one who was hit by the drink and the elbow. Cops say the man told them the tiff all started over a conversation about race — and turned physical once he asked the patrons to leave,” TMZ wrote.
“We’re told, however, the man ultimately didn’t want to press charges … and no arrests were made.”
Per the report, Young has not shared a statement on the incident at this time either.
