Wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. may be a game-time decision for the Longhorns.
The initial injury report for the Texas Longhorns released on Wednesday evening listed three players as questionable ahead of Saturday’s game against the Kentucky Wildcats at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin — sophomore wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr., redshirt freshman edge Colton Vasek, and senior linebacker Mo Blackwell.
“Obviously, we’ve got a couple guys that as we get closer to kickoff, I don’t know if they will be game-time decisions, but more like game-day decisions that would be sure nice to have at our disposal, so we’ll see how it goes,” Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said on Thursday.
The biggest news is the status of Moore, who is tied for second on the team in receiving touchdowns with five. The California product only played five snaps against Arkansas before leaving the game with a foot injury.
Blackwell joined the injury report last week and missed the game in Fayetteville, leaving the Longhorns without a rotation player at linebacker and a key contributor on special teams.
Vasek has missed the last two games with his injury.
