The team’s leading receiver was upgraded from questionable on Wednesday.
Texas Longhorns junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond is trending towards playing against the Goergia Bulldogs after the team upgraded him from questionable to probable on Thursday’s injury report. Bond suffered an ankle injury against the Oklahoma Sooners that he aggravated later in the game.
“I would imagine tonight will will upgrade Isaiah to probable for the game,” Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said on Thursday.
Bond recorded one catch for five yards in the 34-3 win over Oklahoma. The Alabama transfer is tied for the team lead with 21 catches, leads Texas 369 receiving yards, and is tied for the team lead with three receiving touchdowns.
The Longhorns will be without redshirt freshman backup left tackle Trevor Goosby, as well as sophomore safety Derek Williams, out for the season with the injury he sustained last weekend, and super senior running back Velton Gardner.
