Throughout the 2024-2025 women’s basketball season, Schaefer has so far led the Longhorns to a 26-2 record. Texas women’s basketball also boasts a 12-1 record in their inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference, or SEC. The team was ranked No. 2 in the most recent AP Poll and have recently topped some of the most talented teams in the nation, including No. 2 South Carolina, No. 8 Kentucky, and No. 5 LSU—all of whom are in the SEC. Texas women’s basketball is currently on a ten-game win streak since a loss to South Carolina near the onset of league play.
Now, the Texas women’s squad will keep their eye toward the madness of March just around the season’s corner.
