And you thought grocery store prices were high…
Both the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies landed in the most recent AP Top 25.
The Longhorns fell one spot in the most recent ranking, from No. 5 to No. 5, after their road win in Nashville versus the Vanderbilt Commodores. Meanwhile, the Aggies climbed from No. 14 to No. 10, after the program beat the LSU Tigers in College Station last weekend.
The result, however, has been an insane spike in ticket prices for Texas and Texas A&M’s football rivalry reunion later this season in College Station, where the Longhorns last beat the Aggies in 2011. The spike in prices was first noted this week by Hook ‘Em Headlines.
From Hook ‘Em Headlines:
Perhaps this was always to be expected when the Longhorns and Aggies at last made their football reunion official.
But will be the standard for the rivalry going forward?
We can only hope not, as those among the Texas fan middle-class.
