The Washington product is the first of seven offensive line signees in the 2022 recruiting class to transfer.
Texas Longhorns redshirt junior offensive lineman Malik Agbo entered the NCAA transfer portal on Friday morning, according to multiple reports.

The 6’4, 280-pounder is the third Longhorns player to enter the portal since it opened on Wednesday, joining redshirt freshman wide receiver Freddie Dubose and senior kicker Bert Auburn, and has two remaining years of eligibility.
Out of Federal Way (Wash.) Todd Beamer, Agbo committed to Texas as part of the ultimately program-defining class signed by offensive line coach Kyle Flood, a group of seven offensive linemen that included Kelvin Banks and Cam Williams, who both declared early for the 2025 NFL Draft, and DJ Campbell, ranked as the nation’s top interior offensive lineman, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Agbo pledged to Texas after taking official visits to Auburn, Oklahoma, and Miami in addition to holding offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, USC, and Washington, among others. One of the more developmental linemen in the class, Agbo was a consensus four-star prospect ranked as the No. 269 player nationally and the No. 23 offensive tackle.
With the meteoric rise of Banks and the steady development of Christian Jones at right tackle, playing time was hard to come by on the outside as Agbo arrived on the Forty Acres and started to develop.
Williams ultimately won the right tackle job heading into the 2024 season after Jones departed for the NFL as Agbo found his role offensively as a jumbo tight end, most notably during the 2023 season when he played 131 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus, pass blocking well but not demonstrating a lot of effectiveness as a run blocker.
In 2024, Agbo saw his playing time reduced to appearances at the end of blowouts as Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian moved away from using him in that jumbo tight end role.
Perhaps the most remarkable transformation for Agbo on the Forty Acres was his conditioning — after he was listed at 338 pounds as a freshman, he dropped 45 pounds as a sophomore and a further 15 pounds or so heading into his fourth season.
Texas is now down to a projected 80 scholarships for the fall.
