Larson has spent the past two seasons with the Longhorns. Prior to his somewhat brief stint in Austin, in which he followed former Texas men’s head coach Chris Beard before his firing, Larson acted as the student manager for Texas Tech’s men’s basketball program for three seasons from 2019 to 2021.
According to a recent report in Sports Illustrated, Larson has managed to leave his mark on the Longhorns’ program.
From SI: “[For the Texas program, Larson’s] helped the Longhorns reel in several high-profile recruits and transfers along the way, including Five-star Tre Johnson and Four-Star Nicolas Codie in the 2024 class, four-star Chris Johnson in the 2023 class, and five-stars Dillon Mitchell and Arterio Morris in the 2022 class.
