People don’t forget
Texas Longhorns linebacker Anthony Hill performed spectacularly in the team’s Red River Rivalry win over the Oklahoma Sooners this past Saturday in Dallas, Texas’ Cotton Bowl.
That was to be expected, as No. 1 Texas came in as the favorite over No. 18 Oklahoma.
But despite the fact that Hill logged an impressive 11 total tackles (including 7 solo tackles and 4 assists) and two sacks, it was the sophomore linebacker’s post-game performance that caught the most eyes.
After Texas’ win, Hill and teammate Barryn Sorrell grabbed former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield’s No. 6 jersey, carried it to the center of the field, and seemingly sacrificed it.
That is, the Longhorn duo planted the Texas flag through Mayfield’s jersey.

“I just felt like it was the right thing for me to do,” Hill Jr. told Fox Sports after his and Sorrell’s celebration. “I’d seen all the stuff [Oklahoma] posted last year, so I felt like it was right for me to get a little touch of something on them.”
