Oregon State transfer guard and the Beaver’s leading scorer last season, Jordan Pope, will transfer to Texas, per his Instagram page.
Pope, the 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard from Oakley (CA), chose Texas over Texas A&M. The guard averaged 17.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists for Oregon State in 2023-24. He’s played two seasons as a Beaver and will be a junior at Texas.
Pope has shot 43.9% from the field in his career and 37.4% from 3-point range on 337 attempts. He’s started every game but one for Oregon State over the past two seasons.
This is Rodney Terry and Texas’ fourth portal addition of the offseason. The Longhorns have also landed former Arkansas guard Tramon Mark and two former Indiana State players in point guard Julian Larry and power forward Jayson Kent.
