The Vanderbilt transfer is on the move again after redshirting during the 2024-25 season.
A second Texas Longhorns player has entered the NCAA transfer portal following last month’s hire of Sean Miller, as rising redshirt sophomore guard Malik Presley announced his departure from the Forty Acres on Saturday.

The San Marcos product did not appear in a game for the Longhorns after redshirting during the 2024-25 season. Presley has three years of eligibility remaining.
A consensus three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, Presley signed with Vanderbilt after taking official visits to Arizona State and TCU. The 6’6, 200-pounder also held offers from Houston, LSU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others.
During Presley’s one season in Nashville, he played in 26 games, starting five, and notched 58 points (2.2 ppg), 41 rebounds (1.6 rpg), and 13 assists (0.5 apg) in 308 minutes (11.9 mpg).
The only other player to enter the portal during the spring transfer window is rising junior wing Devon Pryor, who committed to Oregon. Guard Tre Johnson also declared for the 2025 NBA Draft after one season at Texas.
