Manning is developing a reputation for his loyalty
Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning has found a home in Austin. That was affirmed over the past two seasons as the incoming redshirt sophomore was forced to sit behind starting quarterback Quinn Ewers before he decided to take his talents to the NFL Draft.
As for Manning’s class of 2023 quarterback prospect peers, they can’t say the same.
Let’s assume the top five prospects are each quarterback class’ most valued prospects.
247Sports No. 5 overall quarterback prospect Malachi Nelson, who began his career at USC, is now on his third attempt to grow roots with a college team; this time, with UTEP. Of course, this comes after Nelson moved on from his first transfer portal stop, Boise State.
No. 4 quarterback prospect Jackson Arnold left Oklahoma for Auburn earlier this offseason.
No. 3 quarterback prospect and former UCLA signal caller Dante Moore is at Oregon now.
And No. 2 quarterback prospect Nico Iamalavea, well… that’s a different story.
