The Longhorns open SEC play on the road against the Bulldogs
The inaugural baseball season for the Texas Longhorns in the SEC will open on March 14 in addition to featuring five home series for the Horns at UFCU Disch-Falk Field under new head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Florida are the home opponents for Texas, the league office announced on Thursday.
Texas opens on the road against Mississippi State in Starkville from May 14-16, reprising the high-profile matchups in the 2021 College World Series, although the entire schedule is subject to change for television reasons that could include moving series to a Thursday start.
The conference tournament is set for May 20-25 in Hoover, Ala.
The 30 conference games will include two permanent opponents and eight rotating opponents.
