Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian had a great comment about Arch Manning in a new interview.
He got interviewed by Josh Pate as the latter goes around to different campuses to get an inside look at football programs and thinks it’s nuts that Manning was being asked about transferring.
“I get a chuckle out of this. Everyone’s praising Arch for staying at Texas. He’s going into year two,” Sarkisian said. “What do you mean? But that’s the mentality. Good for Arch and he’s sticking it out with Texas in year two and I’m like, that’s part of the process. We’re developing him to play and be a great football player and a great leader and he’s going to be. But, that’s where we’re at.”

Sarkisian makes a good point but this is the world we’re living in now with the transfer portal and NIL.
People are always going to question if a young talent like Manning should stay at a program even though he’s not going to be starting in 2024.
Still, the plan seems clear that Manning will take over for Quinn Ewers once the 2024 season ends.
