The Horns are getting the elite Lewisville product back on campus for the first time since he pledged to the Sooners.
The final official visit weekend of the regular season for the Texas Longhorns as head coach Steve Sarkisian’s team faces the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday just added some serious star power when the news broke on Tuesday morning that consensus five-star Oklahoma Sooners offensive tackle pledge Michael Fasusi is heading to the Forty Acres.

Other outlets quickly confirmed the news.
It’s the first trip to Austin for the 6’5, 295-pounder from Lewisville since he pledged to Oklahoma over Missouri, Texas, and Texas A&M in August. Since the football season started, things have gone poorly for the Sooners, who have been devastated by injuries at wide receiver, inconsistent play at quarterback, and poor performances by the offensive line, resulting in the termination of co-offensive coordinator Seth Littrell. Offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, who has been a Norman staple since joining the coaching staff of Bob Stoops in 2013, is in danger of joining Littrell on the unemployment line.
Oklahoma is currently 5-5 overall and 1-5 in conference play, putting the Sooners in danger of missing a bowl game for the first time since 1998.
So the cracks are starting to emerge in Fasusi’s pledge as the Longhorns have remained in contact with the nation’s No. 12 prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Texas currently holds commitments from five offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting class, but only one, Georgia product Nick Brooks, is a consensus four-star prospect, as position coach Kyle Flood prepares to replace three or four starters along the line.
