It looks like former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Johntay Cook isn’t out of chances at Power Four programs yet — Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods reported on Friday that the troubled pass catcher is set to visit the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Former 5-star WR Johntay Cook is visiting Arizona State this weekend, per my sources. He’s drawn interest from Houston, Oklahoma, BYU, Syracuse, Indiana, and Arkansas since entering the transfer portal. pic.twitter.com/GV3G1KZoF5

The problems started for Cook when he departed the Texas program in November in what head coach Steve Sarkisian termed a “mutual decision.” Cook then spent his time posting through it on social media.
After the winter NCAA transfer portal window opened, the former consensus five-star prospect landed at Washington, and while the commitment lasted nearly a month, Cook only lasted about 48 hours on campus before leaving.
In February, Cook was arrested twice in Texas, the first time in Fort Worth for theft and interference with public duties and the second time in Pottsboro for possession of marijuana.
On Wednesday, Cook officially entered the portal for the second time when the spring window opened.
