September 7 will mark one of the biggest regular season games of 2024 as Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns head to Ann Arbor to take on the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines.
Speaking at the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University this week, Ewers offered his thoughts on the upcoming game. He pointed out that he’s been there before during his Ohio State days and knows that it’s going to be “a great environment” and “a good time.”
“It’ll be my second time up there, so I’m excited to get back up there,” Ewers said, via On3 Sports. “Defending champs, it’s gonna be a great environment, lot of people. It’s gonna be a good time.”
Ewers led the Longhorns to the Big 12 title in the school’s find year as part of the conference. 2024 will mark their first season in the SEC and they have a pretty brutal season ahead of them.
After opening their season against Colorado State, Ewers leads Texas to Michigan before a three-game home streak to close out September. They then get a week off before their Red River Rivalry game against arch-rival Oklahoma on October 12, followed by powerhouse Georgia the week after.
Beating Michigan could wind up being essential to Texas having any say in the SEC title race, let alone the national title picture.
Will Ewers and the Longhorns have “a good time” in Michigan this September?
