The SEC grind continues
Southeastern Conference ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum appeared on Sportscenter over the weekend to discuss the Texas Longhorns’ troubles ahead after taking down the Oklahoma Sooners.
Of course, neither Texas nor Finebaum have to look much further than the Georgia Bulldogs to understand which conference opponent’s program still stands firmly in the way of the Longhorns’ eventual SEC Championship and College Football Playoff aspirations.
Finebaum, who’s leaned towards Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s program all season, tried to help college football fans comprehend the challenge ahead for the Longhorns.
“Georgia has not looked good but remember what we saw yesterday, perhaps a look ahead to the weekend in Austin,” Finebaum said, according to a report in Athlon Sports. “Carson Beck is playing well, there are elements to Georgia’s team that are not. But they will be a formidable foe for Texas. Texas has seen some good teams but they have not seen anyone quite like the Dawgs.”
