The Horns are heavy favorites in the final home game of the regular season.
The No. 3 Texas Longhorns are 20.5-point favorites against the Kentucky Wildcats for Saturday’s game at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, according to FanDuel. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. Central on ABC.
Heading into next weekend’s game, Texas is 9-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play after traveling to Fayetteville and beating 5-5 Arkansas, 20-10. Kentucky, led by 12th-year head coach Mark Stoops, is 4-6 overall and 1-6 in the SEC after a 48-6 non-conference win over Murray State.
Despite the poor conference record, the Wildcats do have an upset win over the Rebels and a close loss to the Bulldogs before playing more disappointing football in some recent weeks, including a 48-20 loss to the Gators, one of three conference wins for Florida.
The two schools have only played once before — in the 1951 season opener, No. 6 Texas beat Kentucky 7-6.
The Wildcats come to Austin as the seventh and final regular-season opponent at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
