We’ve seen countless instances of promising NFL Draft prospects getting into legal trouble prior to the draft. Sadly, we have to add one more name to that list.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond has turned himself into police after a warrant was issued against him by the Frisco Police. He is facing a charge of sexual assault. Per the report, he posted his bond and has since been released.
“Former Texas WR and current NFL Draft prospect Isaiah Bond turned himself in to Frisco (TX) Police this morning for a matter related to an outstanding warrant for sexual assault, Frisco PD told The Insiders. He posted bond and was subsequently released.,” Rapoport wrote on X.

Bond has been seen as a top-100 prospect and one of the best in a draft with no shortage of talented wide receivers. Not bad for a player who didn’t exactly light up the stat sheet during his college career.
In three seasons between Alabama and Texas, Bond had 99 receptions for 1,428 yards and 10 touchdowns plus another 101 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He averaged 14.4 yards per catch and just under 35 yards per game for a career.
But a legal situation like this one could cause him to fall well outside the top-100 picks. It’s not impossible that he winds up not getting drafted at all.
But if the allegations against Bond don’t prevent teams from drafting him, it looks like there will be a few interested teams.
Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 reported yesterday that he has five interviews scheduled with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, the Atlanta Falcons, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans.
As it stands, he has a meeting with the Buffalo Bills set for next week on April 15. If that meeting gets canceled, it might offer an idea of how the league really feels about him amid this issue.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be two weeks from tonight. It will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the first time ever.
