The University of Texas is ready for football season.
Everyone from the coaches to the players to the cheerleaders to, yes, even the sorority sisters, are ready to go ahead of the Longhorns’ first season in the SEC.
This weekend, one of Texas’s top sororities, Alpha Chi Omega, also known as AXO, posted a viral video to their Instagram, hyping up the 2024 season.
One sorority sister stands out, leading the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders-esque pack.
NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, who attended Texas, was impressed.
“This is so hot!” Slater wrote. “The choreography. Hook Em!”
Perhaps there’s a future Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader in the mix. Lauren Simpson, the young woman leading the front of the pack, has been building up an impressive following on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
Simpson has close to 4,000 followers and that number is rising heading into the 2024 season.
Texas has a lot to be excited about ahead of the 2024 college football season. The Longhorns are ranked No. 4 in the country heading into Week 1, coming off a College Football Playoff loss to Washington.
Quinn Ewers is back at quarterback, as is Arch Manning behind him, and the Longhorns will look to make it back to the College Football Playoff in 2024-25.
The Longhorns are scheduled to open up the 2024 college football season on Saturday, Aug. 31 against Colorado State. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T.
