Plus: Texas volleyball avenges football in win over Georgia
Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian recently told the media that redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers, who missed time earlier this year and was temporarily replaced by redshirt sophomore backup quarterback Arch Manning, will remain Texas’ starter.
“Quinn’s our starting quarterback,” Sarkisian said, according to ESPN. “I appreciate the fact that we’re fortunate enough to have a backup like Arch that can come into the game and provide a spark in some sense, but at the end of the day, Quinn’s our starter.”
The update comes after Ewers was benched for Manning for two offensive series late in the first half of this past Saturday’s loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. Ewers would come in to start for the remainder of Texas’ first Southeastern Conference member loss over the weekend.
