Plus: Texas volleyball returns to SEC play tonight
In the new era of a division-less Southeastern Conference, tie-breakers are the name of the game. And for the Texas Longhorns to qualify for the SEC Championship later this year, each week needs to play out in the Longhorns favor. Take the upcoming bye week, for example.
As noted by Sports Illustrated, it’d be helpful if Arkansas beats Ole Miss. And while a miracle might be required for the Gators to pull such a stunt in the annual rivalry, it’d be very, very extra nice if Florida can beat Georgia, who’s currently Texas’ only conference loss in 2024.
Undoubtedly, an undefeated in SEC play Texas A&M needs to go down at the hands of South Carolina, and Kentucky needs to take care of business versus Tennessee as well.
