Plus: Texas volleyball drops two straight SEC matches
Ahead of their meeting this weekend with the Texas Longhorns, Florida head coach Billy Napier recently told media that he expects starting quarterback DJ Lagway to have a chance at starting under center, despite suffering an injury in Florida’s loss to Georgia.
“We do think that the injury is less significant than we anticipated,” said Napier, according to USA Today. “We do think there’s a pathway for recovery and a return, and we did find that out yesterday evening.”
Napier continued, “So a lot of good on that front… And [Lagway’s] been doing well so far this morning, so we have not completely ruled him out, and I think a lot of that will be to be determined as we move our way through the week.”
