Plus: Texas WBB beat Alabama last night
Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy has high hopes for current starting Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers as he readies to face Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl this evening.
“I think Quinn has done a great job of just locking in and recognizing he has an outstanding football team around him, and he’s got to go out there and play well,” McCoy said on SiriusXM College Sports Radio, per Inside Texas. “So far, he’s really done that. There are some times where you scratch your head, but at the end of the day, I think Quinn has done an awesome job at blocking out the noise and understanding the pressures and demands of playing quarterback at UT.
McCoy later added, “Ultimately, he’s got us in position to go win a national championship. What more do you want from your starting quarterback?”
