It doesn’t matter how far you are removed from the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, if the opposing side is struggling, you kick them while they’re down.
That’s exactly what former Buckeyes receiver Garrett Wilson did on Saturday when he looked at the ticker and saw “That Team Up North” getting worked by third-ranked Texas in the first half.
“Michigan [expletive],” the Jets star laughed on X.
The Wolverines found themselves down 24-3 heading into the break thanks to a dominant performance by Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns offense.
The junior QB is dealing and UT’s offensive line is winning the war in the trenches and keeping the team’s offense on schedule.
Texas’ defense is doing their part as well, bottling up Michigan’s running game and forcing first-year starter Davis Warren to try to beat them with the pass.
Fans on both sides reacted to Wilson’s post (who beat the Wolverines once in his OSU career).
“you play for the new york jets baby bro,” a user replied.
“They doing their best jets [impression],” another commented.
“BODY THEM GOAT.”
“Bro is hate watching and I love it,” a Buckeyes fan cried.
Michigan has two quarters to try to turn the tides at The Big House but it’s not looking great for this year’s defending national champions.
Thankfully for them though the advent of the 12-team Playoff shouldn’t completely dash their hopes of making the postseason should they suffer a loss two games in.
