Cunningham also earned gold medals with the 2022 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup and 2021 FIBA Women’s U16 Americas Championship. … Cunningham averaged 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the 2024-25 season.”
“I am super excited to announce the addition of Breya Cunningham and her family to our Longhorn family,” Schaefer said in a news release. ”I recruited her two years ago out of high school when she was the No. 2 ranked player in the country in the 2023 class. Breya will bring experience and inside presence, as well as the ability to impact our program immediately. She comes from a wonderful family who I really enjoyed getting to know throughout the recruiting process during our first time around. Her experience at the power five level will enable her to adapt immediately as well as impact our program immediately.”
Former Arizona forward Breya Cunningham has announced that she will transfer to Texas. The 6-4 Cunningham averaged 11 points and 7 rebounds per game last season and will be a welcomed addition to the Texas team that needed depth in the paint. #HookEm pic.twitter.com/QboqUShWX6
