Five-star wing Tre Johnson has cut his list to two schools.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Link Academy (MO) is down to Texas and Baylor, he announced on Instagram, and has trimmed Kentucky, Kansas, Alabama and Arkansas from his list. He had been scheduled to visit Alabama and Arkansas this month.
“I just weighed out the pros and cons of all the schools and it really it was just Texas and Baylor were the best two options for me at this point,” he said on Instagram.
“And then also I’m the best player in Texas, why not just stay and compete in Texas?”
He recently told Eric Bossi of 247Sports.com that he may wait until the spring to make a decision.
“I want to see what everybody has coming and how I could be used and which place is the best option,” he told 247. “It’s about what is best for me. It doesn’t really matter who somebody might go out and get or the transfer portal, we all have to fight for that one spot and I feel like if you are doing that against good guys and you get that spot then you are getting better overall.”
