Arch Manning had quite the game on Saturday evening.
The Texas Longhorns second-year quarterback played in place of an injured Quinn Ewers. The former five-star quarterback went off, throwing for 223 yards and four touchdowns. He added three rushes for 53 yards and a score. The son of Cooper Manning had one huge rush for 57 yards – the longest by a Texas quarterback since Vince Young.
Arch Manning will remain the backup for now, but fans are obviously very excited about his future with the program.
After Arch Manning’s huge game, his mom went viral on social media.
“Definitely got his speed from mom,” Cooper Manning joked.
Paul Finebaum is going as far to say that Arch Manning will win the Heisman Trophy at some point.
“Book it. Arch Manning is going to win the Heisman. I am in on that,” Finebaum declared, via Awful Announcing. “By the way, his granddad and Peyton probably should have won it, and Arch will. Can you imagine? He’s replacing a Heisman favorite right now. I don’t know if he’ll win it this year, but Arch Manning will definitely win the Heisman at Texas.”
Texas improved to 3-0 on the year with Saturday night’s win.
