You can’t keep a good Manning down.
After coming into Saturday’s game red hot, Texas quarterback Arch Manning went out and threw his first career interception on the opening drive.
That didn’t stop the former No. 1 player in the country from bouncing back with three straight touchdown drives however — two of which came via passing connections to Ryan Wingo and running back Jaydon Blue.
Texas currently leads UL Monroe 21-0 at the beginning of the second quarter. Despite the interception, Arch is still 9-of-13 for 180 yards and the aforementioned scores.

Fans are loving how he’s responded so far to his first taste of CFB adversity:
“Arch Manning follows the pick with an absolute bomb,” a user said.
“Arch Manning to Ryan Wingo for a 17-yard TD! This connection has been unstoppable already,” CJ Vogel posted.
“Never been a Texas fan but I Hope Arch Manning excels into a NFL stud. Dude has some game,” another replied.
“Inject arch manning into my veins,” a fan commented.
“Is Arch Manning already the best deep ball passer in college football?” another person asked.
“Arch Manning is absolute magic.”
As loaded as Texas is it really does seem like Manning is the real deal.
We’ll see what happens if/when he faces stiffer competition this season but you have to feel like your program is in good hands right now if you’re a Longhorns fan.
