Coach Campbell is extended through 2030 after leading the Horned Frogs to its first NCAA Tournament since 2010
TCU Women’s Basketball has locked up its head coach with a contract extension to keep Mark Campbell in Fort Worth through 2030, the university announced on Wednesday afternoon. The 2024-25 Big 12 Coach of the Year and National Coach of the Year finalist, Campbell has led a monumental program turnaround, bringing the program its first ever Big 12 regular season and Tournament championships while earning a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament and the right to host the first two rounds of the Big Dance in Schollmaier Arena. It’s the highest seed earned in program history, reaching a program-best ranking of No. 6 in the AP Poll.

As the first major action as Athletics Director, Mike Buddie teased the good news on social media on Tuesday while reports began trickling out before the official statements from Buddie and the program.
During his first year with the Frogs, the season began with a roaring start before injuries so depleted the roster that TCU held walk-on tryouts on campus and were forced to forfeit two games due to the limited roster. In the three seasons prior to Campbell’s hire, the Horned Frogs won just 24 total games combined, winning under 29% of games played. Campbell and his staff, along with the support of the university and its boosters, brought in elite transfer talent as soon as he arrived on campus, with major prospects like Sedona Prince & Madison Conner and was able to retain that talent into 2024-25 while adding All-American guard Hailey Van Lith as part of another heralded transfer class.
