The Horned Frogs open as top-rated Big 12 team in the NCAA metric
TCU Women’s Basketball continues to make waves nationally, impressing fans and media, and now impressing computer metrics as well. The NCAA released the first official NET Rankings for the 2024-25 Women’s Basketball season and the Horned Frogs are sitting pretty. TCU opens as the No. 5 team nationally in the metric, the highest ranking Big 12 squad.

The Frogs have earned a pair of AP ranked, knocking off NC State in Schollmaier Arena and Notre Dame last week in Grand Cayman as part of an 8-0 start to the season. TCU plays Florida Atlantic at home on Wednesday before a massive showdown in Dickies Arena on Sunday vs. the NET’s top rated team, defending Champions, South Carolina Gamecocks.
The Big 12 features six of the Top 40 teams and 11 ranked in the NET Top 80. The Horned Frogs open Big 12 play on New Year’s Day in Schollmaier Arena vs. Colorado Buffaloes.
