TCU’s 92-52 win was the largest margin of victory in a Big 12 road game in program history
TCU Women’s Basketball started Big 12 play with a bang on Saturday in Orlando, storming to a dominant over UCF, 92-52. The 40-point margin was TCU’s was the largest Big 12 win for the Horned Frogs as TCU stars Madison Conner, Hailey Van Lith, and Sedona Prince outscored the Knights on their own, combining for 60 points. TCU shot over 50% from the field for the third straight game, draining double-digit three pointers for the eighth time this season. TCU distributed 22 assists, now reaching 20+ dimes in 9 of its 13 games, ranking Top-5 nationally in assists per game.

In the first true road game of the season, TCU showed no impact from the hostile environment, controlling the contest the entire way and continuing its stellar sharp-shooting prowess. Conner & Prince owned the first period, combining for 18 points on 83% shooting from the field

Conner continued her hot streak in the second quarter as the nation’s leader in made three pointers per game added ten more points to her tally for back-to-back double-digit quarters. Although the Knights shot a strong 50% in the period, TCU cleaned up the majority of missed shots, winning the rebound battle 20-12 in the first half and 44-21 for the game.
Sedona Prince was a dominant presence in the post, adding four blocks to her nation-leading blocks-per-game tally. Agnes Emma-Nnopu earned another start and was once again a play-making dynamo, recording seven offensive rebounds and draining a trio of trips for her nine points. In her first Big 12 conference game, Hailey Van Lith contributed 14 points and led the Frogs with seven assists to move into fourth in the nation with 84 dimes on the season.

TCU wins its conference opener for the second straight year under head coach Mark Campbell and improves to 12-1 on the season. The Horned Frogs return to Schollmaier Arena on Sunday December 29 for the final non-conference game of the season, playing the Brown Bears before the home Big 12 opener in New Year’s Day vs. Colorado.
