TCU Women’s Basketball picked up a sixth straight win with an 81-66 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats in Fort Worth. With the win, the Frogs moved to 15-1 and 3-0 in conference play, keeping them in a tie for first place in the Big 12 with Kansas State. After having a slow night offensively in their last game against Colorado, the Frogs found their groove again as they shot 50% from behind the arc and 53.8% from the field. TCU’s ball movement was improved as well with 21 assists as a team compared to just 11 in the game against Colorado. Madison Conner was on fire from three, knocking down six of nine attempts from deep on her way to a game-high 29 points and seven assists. Conner did not shy away from the paint either as she got to the line eight times and made seven of those attempts.

Sedona Prince filled up the stat sheet with 21 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Prince was very efficient, shooting 9-12 from the field and three of four from the free-throw line. Agnes Emma-Nnopu was the third Frog in double digits with ten points, four rebounds, three assists and one block. Emma-Nnopu also took part in the three-point barrage, knocking down two of three shots from deep. Hailey Van Lith had a slower scoring night but was still impactful with seven points, five assists, two rebounds and solid work on the defensive end. Taylor Bigby provided a spark off of the bench with seven points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Cincinnati battled tough with the Frogs in the first half, trailing just six points at the half. Jillian Hayes was especially effective for the Bearcats with 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal. The Frogs put the Bearcats away after halftime with a strong third quarter that saw TCU outscore Cincinnati 23-12. The Frogs bounced back well from an off-shooting night against Colorado and took care of business against a solid Cincinnati team.

The Frogs will be back in action on January 7th when they take on the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence at 6:30 pm. Kansas has had a strong start to the season with a record of 11-3 and a win in their most recent game on the road over Oklahoma State.
