Frontcourt size appears to be a clear offseason priority for head coach Mark Campbell and TCU women’s basketball, who continued bolstering their roster with a commitment from Arizona State forward Kennedy Basham. Basham, who announced her pledge to the Horned Frogs on Sunday evening, is a 6-foot-7 junior from Phoenix, Arizona who posted 5.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for the Sun Devils from the 2024-25 season. Basham is the second 6-foot-7 player to commit to the Horned Frogs in this portal cycle, joining former Kentucky center Clara Silva. Basham is TCU’s fifth portal addition this offseason.

Basham started her collegiate career at Oregon, where she appeared in 47 games with 24 starts before transferring to Arizona State. Basham took the floor for 32 games and made 25 starts in her lone season with the Sun Devils, shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from 3-point range. Basham’s commitment continues a roster retool for the Horned Frogs, who are looking to build on their historic 34-4 season in which TCU won the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles while reaching the Elite Eight for the first time ever.

Although the Horned Frogs are set to lose 6-foot-7 center Sedona Prince, who recently declared for the 2025 WNBA Draft, TCU is set to have four players on the 2025-26 roster who are 6 feet 7 inches or taller. In addition to Silva and Basham, TCU has signed a pair of recruits in 6-foot-7 center Emily Hunter (Nolensville, Tennessee) and 6-foot-8 center Sarah Portlock (Victoria, Australia) who will join the program for the 2025-26 season.
